While Sony is coming under fire for all this nasty PSN security breach business, Microsoft's latest service alert could very well go unnoticed. The Xbox 360 manufacturer recently issued a warning to the Xbox LIVE community following phishing attempts targeting the Modern Warfare 2 crowd. That's right, we're talking about scammers. You know, those people who've infested every form of communication humanity has ever created?
The service alert from Microsoft reads, "Users may receive potential phishing attempts via title specific messaging while playing Modern Warfare 2. We are aware of the problem and are working to resolve the issue. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience."
So if you receive any odd messages asking for personal information, report the hell out of them.
