CD Projekt appears to be going all out with The Witcher 2. At its recent spring conference, we learned there'd be no censorship this time around, no doubt related to the Director's Cut version of the prequel being cleared by the ratings boards in 2009.
There, in keeping with TW2's Mature rating, character Triss was shown on the cover of the new Playboy in Poland, where the studio resides. The game itself does contain nudity, though everything we've seen so far points to a mature and realistic presentation. Contents of the issue are not known as of yet. Playboy, for those who don't know, has been running features on video game characters for a few years now.
The community is already divided on using sex to sell games in this manner. Whatever your stance, we remind Playboy is more the classy sort as far as pornography goes, and also ask you evaluate the acceptance of violence versus sex in games and media.
