Battlefield 3 12-minute "Fault Line" trailer released

I have very high expectations for Battlefield 3. The game looks so realistic and beautiful, and I'm sure I'll appreciate it much more than BF:BC2 and Black ops. I really like the details and the work that is being put into the game. I mean, I want to buy a completely new computer just so that I can run this game on the highest setting possible - which it truly deserves. I am very excited

It's like the PC gaming is being revived and once more provides that "wow" effect that PC gaming should deliver. Something different from the arcade console-like games. To me at least. I think they've stepped it up, EA and Dice and whoever is involved, in making this game worth a lot even though it revolves around the same theme: war. To bring a war-game up next to games like Half-Life(and the ones after) is just amazing to me.

Very cool, thanks. I'm getting my savings account opened for my studies this summer so there should be some money for a new system.. Getting tired of C2D while everybody else are having fun with their i7-systems.

Gangsta692 It's a blast. Four cores or more makes such a difference in BFBC2.

Actually, in terms of value for money (including online and offline)...I always prefer Battlefield Saga over Call of Duty Saga which is always shorter than midget!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....Lazy developers always create a short single-player campaign...It's a fact

I hope most of the game isn't one scripted event after another like that. Call of Duty gets quite a bit of bad flack for that, and I have to say that mission appeared to be even worse about it.

There's nothing absolutely original here. In fact the sequences sort of look like they were taking notes from Half-Life 2. BUT it looks amazing. And I can't wait for it. I hope the final product operates less on triggers and more on timings for events, like tremors. When you operate on triggers it makes the second playthrough significantly less immersive.

I do agree, it sucks when you feel like the computer is basically doing everything and you're just clicking left mouse button. Lets hope it isn't all about that

Only thing I need to know before purchasing is what the physical copy Ltd/Special editions contain? I'll probably pre-order the steam special edition version unless there is something really nice with the physical copies.

I dunno much about guns, but I think they went a tad overboard by having a single shot take out a good chunk of concrete in the railing on that building (the apartment building section, killing the first guy on the building).

Yep, I'm definitely going to think about ordering a special edition if it contains goodies.
And I totally agree with the gun to concrete = overkill.

Seems the limited Edition is like the Bulletstorm one, where it's just the first run version. I have to imagine there is a bigger and badder set they'll be releasing, considering how much they're pushing this title.

Maybe not. Launching pre-orders so early then a CE later would make a lot of people angry, unless there was some kind of upgrade option.
