Poignant music has largely been one of outstanding themes of previous Silent Hill games...particularly melancholic music accompanied by psychological or unsettling gameplay gave players an unprecedented level of horror/psychological experience in Silent Hill series...

Above all, in the new game, I anticipate that the graphics and storyline should complement each other, nonetheless, without some interesting music or songs, the game will, to some extent, cannot be compared with previous games in which Yamaoka's ingenuity further heightened the overall experience....

I still vividly remember the intro music of Silent Hill 1 which was quite poignant and fully reflected the theme of psychological gameplay and, most importantly, the emotions of game characters in the game....

Let's wait and see

I agree THM, Yamaoka's soundtracks fit the mood of the game perfectly. Caught that sense of despair and horror of the storyline and complemented the environments you were in.

Daniel Licht's work on Dexter is great too, I'm confident he'll be able to capture the Silent Hill atomosphere as well he does with the melancholy and broodiness of Dexter.

I'm confident we will get some interesting music out of this. I'm not so ignorant, that i will shrug it off without Yamaoka (as big of a fan as i am). Yamaoka isn't the only composer to capture the sense of eeriness and horror. So let's keep our chins up. Silent Hill, is still Silent Hill

THM is right, if the game sucks up with the music...we will be disappointed...Yes...others composers can do good music but the best music needs skills and ingenuity!!!!!folks
