Portal 2 can be unlocked early by playing Potato Sack Bundle games

More gameplay time means unlocking Portal 2 sooner

Valve's Potato Fool's Day ARG has come to a close but it opened up the chance to play Portal 2 before its scheduled April 19 release. To unlock Portal 2 early, Steam users must rack up enough play time with any of the games from Steam's Potato Sack Bundle.

You can visit the GLaDOS@home website to check out the current progress towards unlocking Portal 2 early, which is a bit on the slow side as of this writing. Be sure to set aside an hour or two for these Potato Sack games and rally your friends to get Portal 2 out sooner.

Well I'm not going to buy it juse for that. Even if I had bought it, I don't think I would've speeded over every game to get portal 2 a few days earlier. This isn't what I'd expect from Valve. I think it'd be awesome, though, if they decided to let Steam users download it some time before.

Are you talking about pre-loading the game? You can do that already.
