Ad man, web content writer, and amateur athlete Chris Worth found himself with a few days to kill in the Mojave desert recently. Being a fan of Obsidian's Fallout: New Vegas, he decided to theme his adventure around the game, taking pictures of real-world locations the title bases itself on.
Some may already know designer Josh Sawyer took his own trip to the desert during development, riding around on a motorcycle taking various photos for reference. In a sense, this serves as a recreation of that trip, one that tells us just how much he took from real life.
Worth goes so far as to stay at hotels from the game, and even makes his own very cool-looking PipBoy and Power Fist.
Included here are some of his photos; you can see the rest and their real-world comparisons along with details of his exploits at the source.
