We haven't heard much about Dragon Quest X since it was first announced for the Wii back in 2008, but in the April 2011 issue of Nintendo Power, series creator Yuji Horii spoke briefly about the upcoming RPG.
Horii revealed that the game is nearly finished and "development is going well," though he was reluctant to say much more than that. Horii did, however, promise more announcements before year's end.
"All we can say is that development is going well and we're on the last parts of the game," Horii told the magazine. "We can't really share much else at this point, but by the end of this year we should be able to announce something regarding it."
So that's pretty exciting, right? Horii also explains that he was motivated to move Dragon Quest to the Wii when he realized "some users will want to play Dragon Quest on the big screen."
