The latest we're seeing from Bethesda and Splash Damage is a Brink gameplay trailer, titled "Ready & Able." The video highlights the game's four different classes -- Soldier, Engineer, Operative, Medic -- and the vast character customizations.
Beyond class abilities, you can tweak your character's appearance with facial markings and clothing. Yes, clothing. Pretend you're browsing the Home Shopping Network, only instead of panini makers and pastel office attire, you're looking at firearms and kevlar vests. Also, killer shoes.
Every class contributes to the team with his very own abilities, much like any other class-based game. Like the Spy in Team Fortress 2, for instance, the Operative can counter enemy turrets (set up by an Engineer) by hacking it. Rather than simply destroying the hostile turret, however, hacking turns it against its own team.
Brink will be released to PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 on May 17 in North America and May 20 in Europe.
