Ladies and gentlemen, the unthinkable has happened: Duke Nukem Forever has been moved once again. Duke's debut has been pushed back to June 14 in the U.S. and June 10 for the international version.
This amusing video statement from Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford provides an explanation for the switch. Have a look:
Can't always have things going your way, right? Stay patient and hold steady until June, folks.
Update: 2K has commented on the unusual release date discrepancy, saying it's down to getting each territory the game as early as possible:
"New games are available on Tuesday in North America, so we’re getting the game out as early as possible in this territory. The international markets do not adhere to this release timing, and it just happens that they will be able to release the game a few days before North America. We don’t want to hold it back, we want to get it into the hands of consumers as soon as possible."
