I completely missed the prime age of the original, so I really have nothing to compare it to, other than MGS4, which tried the same approach of "do what you want 'cause a pirate is free", but dues ex is legendary at that, and it's glaringly apparent why in the gameplay videos. I'm stoked.

Also, I need to really play the original

I actually did play it after posting that, got through the first mission, into the 'castle' in the second, died, and then realized there was no autosave feature in the game and I hadn't saved since the beginning of mission 1.
