Dangit, I wanted this game but the more I see of it the less I think I'll get it. The live action part seems really forced. It didn't have the natural flow of the Call of Duty multiplayer live action commercial or the emotional gravity of the Halo Reach live action commercial.

They went for a cheap thrill instead of thinking it out. If the debris shown in the beginning is on fire, that indicates the area was hit pretty recently, and I don't think the kid would be sitting on his steps like a Sunday afternoon on the stoop in that case. I'm also pretty sure you wouldn't fire an RPG inside a bus either, the backblast would mess you up pretty badly. And the live-action dad seemed less capable of conveying emotion than his computer modeled counterparts in the game.

As for the gameplay footage, all the quick cuts still couldn't conceal the bad animation and the really stiff way the vehicles all move. I'll wait for reviews but I've got some serious quality concerns at this point.

Perhaps it's just me but the choppers in the area indicate some sort of fight happened recently, and the kid is in a warzone, I'd say it's normal for him to be like that- Not all kids his age are pussies.

Also, emotionless dad? Please, I thought the lack of emotion on his face was suiting to the time, war, and what he was about to do.

Re: the recent fight, I agree: something did happen recently, as implied. And exactly because the kid is not a "pussy," I'd expect that he'd be alert and battle/shelter ready, not playing with a stick. As for the dad, where you see fitting emotion, I simply see bad acting. There's no strain from the physical weight/heft of the RPG, no tension in the body from the firing stance at all. It looks like he phoned in the performance, at least to me.

That said, I'll probably still get it if the multiplayer reviews are good.
