Earlier this month, we reported Visceral Games was working on a patch to assist a disabled gamer in playing Dead Space 2 on PC, by allowing extensive rebinding of mouse functions. The patch is available now, and not only includes that addition, but bug fixes for Hardcore difficulty saves and the Elite suit.
You may have heard the PC version of the game contained a load of weapon and suit DLC console players were able to purchase, but PC players were not. This led the PC community to believe the developer and publisher elected not to remove the content, and also not sell it. In retaliation, a save game was released by the community which unlocked all of the content. Presumably in response, the patch contains this content, and free of charge via the in-game store.
If you purchased the box version, your patch is at the source. If you bought digitally, you'll likely have to wait until Monday about.
On a sidenote, those turned off by the game's initial $60 price point on PC will be happy to learn it's now dropped to $40 on at least a couple of digital shops.
