Dissatisfied with the Crysis 2 multiplayer demo on the 360? Well, Crytek and EA heard you all crying, so they've officially confirmed the release of a second demo for the 360, set for March 1 -- same day PC gamers get theirs.
All versions of the shiny new demo will include the "Skyline" and "Pier 17" maps, which support both the "Team Instant Action" and "Crash Site" MP modes. The final product will include a total of six modes and 12 maps, with a 50-level progression system and unlockable Nanosuit upgrades. Absolutely delicious.
Following up the previous "Be Strong" trailer is the new "Be Invisible," showcasing the Nanosuit's invisibility function, made possible by the suit's new cloaking technology. Oh yes, it's very pretty. Superhuman speed and strength are great to have and all, but nothing beats punching your enemy in the face and he has no idea what the hell just hit him. And while you're doing that, you've gotta shout, "EAT STEALTH, DOUCHEBAG!"
A PS3 demo is on the way, but EA still hasn't given anything more specific than a "coming soon." For now, at least, you've got the PS3 gameplay video to ogle over. Just watch it on loop and pretend that's you playing right there.
Crysis 2 will be hitting all three platforms on March 22 for North American gamers, then a few days following on March 25 for UK residents.
