The wait is finally over
For Fallout fans on PC or PS3, the wait for the New Vegas 'Dead Money' add-on should be officially over. According to the official Fallout Twitter feed, the new downloadable content hit Steam several hours ago and has just appeared on PSN.
The recently released PlayStation Store update includes a listing for 'Dead Money,' accompanied by its $9.99 price tag and a brief synopsis about the Sierra Madre. Note this only applies to US residents; PAL regions will be getting the DLC tomorrow.
'Dead Money' debuted on Xbox LIVE in December and boasted hours of additional gameplay, with a touch of survival horror. The add-on also tops the base game's level cap at 35.

If that's not good enough, then here's a super vague description:
You find a new waypoint on your Pip-boy, and when you reach it, you're taken to the Sierra Madre without any of your gear or companions.
Most of it requires a lot of exploration in heavily booby-trapped environments, and you'll have three new companions to choose from to help you navigate these different traps. The nature of the Sierra Madre region requires that you take extra care, which adds to the survival horror aspect. Not all the enemies can be dispatched by conventional means.
If I had to give a few tips to survive Sierra Madre and casinos hostile environment I would recommend:
1. Upgrading your Melee/Unarmed skills (ammo is limited) and Medical skill.
2. Acquiring a “Silent Running” perk because it is filled with bare traps, rigged shotgun and much more.
3. If you killed somebody, make sure they are dead or they are dismantled because things tend to come back to life.
4. The most important tip - Save often.
Stay in the shadows!
