Don't you just love watching exotic cars slam into each other in a slo-mo blizzard of glass and metal fragments? Yeah, we thought so. Criterion and EA announced today three more downloadable content packs for Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, set for release across several weeks.
The first DLC pack, dubbed "Armed and Dangerous," adds two all-new gameplay modes to Hot Pursuit. "Most Wanted" drops players in an open world battle where cops are targetting one specific racer, and his (or her) fellow racers must protect this VIP. Oh yes, better work on your teamwork skills. The second mode, "Arms Race," is a free-for-all brawl between racers, and players will be given full access to their arsenal of weapons for the duration of the race.
And when will we be getting these two gameplay modes? We are so glad you asked, because we were just about to tell you. Expect "Armed & Dangerous" next Tuesday, February 22, on PSN and Xbox LIVE -- for $7 or 560 Microsoft Points.
The following two DLC each brings in three new vehicles. The first, "Lamborghini Untamed," adds the legendary Lambo Diablo SV, the Coutach LP5000 QV, and the Sesto Elemento -- for both racers and cops. In addition to the cars, you'll have ten new events to take part in and four more Achievements/Trophies to earn. The "Lambo Untamed" pack will be out on March 1, and it'll cost you another $7/560 MP.
Following that, you've got the "Porche Unleashed" pack on March 8. For the same price as the above mentioned add-ons, the Porsche DLC includes the Porsche 911 Turbo, plus the 1982 Edition, and the Porsche 959. Again, that's three cars, ten more events, and four new Achievements.
