Here's to hoping they've improved upon the Xbox 360 demo, which I really didn't enjoy that much.

I enjoyed the 360 demo, for a console FPS it was really fantastic, although I know it will play MUCH better on PC than it will on console, as I found the console version to be sloppy. (Found the same thing with bfbc2, but when I played it on PC it was a much smoother experience). Call of Duty is the only FPS I play on consoles, except for games exclusive to the console like the Killzone series.

Ohmycaptain Sloppy in what sense? I wonder if it's just the framerate bothering you. The console versions of BC2 seem very well-done from what I've seen, though I haven't actually played them.

It's not as tight as games like - yes - Call of Duty.

In Crysis 2, Killzone 3, and bfbc2, when I'm sprinting and need to stop, my character keeps running even after I stop using the joystick, which makes it difficult to shoot people precisely when I need to.

Also, when I do stop sprinting, pulling in my gun to aim down the sites is VERY sloppy, which makes it difficult to aim.

I don't find this is much of a problem on PC because I have much more control, but with a PS3 controller or 360 controller I find it a huge problem. My friends who don't play games on their PC's also agree - once they played bfbc2 on my PC they wanted their own because it's a much smoother, controllable experience.

Call of Duty really does consoles right, but they couldn't care less about PC. That's why I own CoD on my PS3/360, and not on my PC (Well, I own COD 1 - 5 on PC but I rarely play them).

I always love hearing that.

Interesting insight, thanks. It's pretty tough to properly optimize for all platforms, I reckon.

I do have to give some credit to Activision and Treyarch for Black Ops though -- they asked what 4chan of all places wanted to see after the disaster that was MW2 on PC, and ended up delivering, though with poor execution at first (not sure on the exact status now, but there've been a ton of patches).

Me too, they want me to build them PC's once they get the money, haha.

Although, it did take them a couple hours to get used to using a mouse and keyboard, but once they did they loved it.

Either way, you can hook up a 360 controller to a PC if you really prefer it, nearly all modern FPS games have support for 360's controller. That way you can have the top of the line graphics, and a controller if you do prefer controller over keyboard/mouse.

[link name=Ohmycaptain]http://www.neoseeker.com/members/Ohmycaptain/" class="mention[/link] Yup..same experience here. Once you get into it, you never want to go back. Good on you for turning a few onto PC gaming.

I use a 360 controller for a few games that more or less require it (Devil May Cry 4, Dirt 2, etc). For shooters (TPS or FPS) especially though I absolutely have to use the kb/mouse...I'm like a five year-old playing games for the first time using a controller for shooters (and I'm a former console gamer).

I'm admittedly better with a controller in FPS games than with a mouse and keyboard, but only because I refuse to play Call of Duty on PC, and I mainly play Call of Duty when I'm playing a FPS.

But, I do prefer to use a mouse and keyboard, and when I get into it I'm pretty good, except on Team Fortress 2... I cannot play that game well, at all.
