Crytek seems to be putting a major focus on multiplayer from the get go with Crysis 2, possibly to offset the somewhat ignored mode in the first title. First they released a multiplayer-only beta; now the mode is being detailed for a second time with video footage.
This run we get a good look at upgrade paths, moves (stealthy knife kills, anyone?), and various other advantages and abilities the Nanosuit affords. Sit back and listen to the gentleman explain:
To summarize, Crysis 2 utilizes age-old RPG systems in its progression: the more you use a particular weapon, the better you can become with it through upgrade options, and the more abilities that become available for you to unlock. Basically, any class can employ a wide variety of talents -- this should liven up the gameplay since opponents won't know what to expect from you, or you them.
Crytek boasts it will take you about 60 hours to reach the top, at which point you can really get to devastating.
