Call of Juarez: The Cartel headed to consoles, PC this summer
Bring the biggest guns you have for another trip West
Rejoice, for today, Ubisoft announced the next Call of Juarez. Good thing too, because the lack of Wild West shooters was really starting to hurt.
The third installment, dubbed Call of Juarez: The Cartel, takes place in present day, combining the whole Wild West theme with a modern setting. Players will be traveling between Los Angeles and Juarez, Mexico, and shooting up just about everything in between.
Oh, but you want pretty pictures, don't you? Ubisoft has two new screenshots of The Cartel, and you can check them out below. Expect to see a release date some time in the summer season.
Not much else is known about the game for now, though a big reveal is planned for the next issue of EGM.

it's that old time wild west athmosphere that makes the call of juarez games so awesome for me. why would they trade in that awesome old style wild west theme for a modern themed shooter of which the public has already seen enough of.
i mean, look at it. cool black shaded eyeglasses, helicopters, AK-47's. that's not even close to where i ended call of juarez bound in blood. now i will try the demo once i get my hands on it but i must say this article already gives me an awkward feeling.
