That's a completely ignorant sentiment. Everyone who worked at Propaganda and their families will be losing sleep over this. Losing your job when you have bills, mortgage, a family is very stressful.

How is it ignorant? I'm saying that purely from a consumers standpoint.

Obvisously, For the people working there it's going to be stressful, But if I bought every based on a view that your coming from I'd buy every game in the store. The fact is, If they had made a great game they wouldn't be in this situation.

Not in a literal sense but I bet the fanbase of Propaganda games aren't too happy.

However a game doesn't "have to be great" to sell. It just means the developer wasn't meeting the goal the publisher set or "expected" them to get. After all we are talking about a movie based game here.

In other words in the gaming world...a target is set. If a developer doesn't meet a profit, the publisher will start to think about the developer's future. Sometimes it is all about business, where the publisher spends more than they expected on another franchise, IP or company and needs to gain it back somehow.

In other words and going back to my point above...movie to game/game to movie areas are very risky and only a few (that many struggle to name) have ever made a success.

Like you, this doesn't affect me but being in the games industry myself...your comment does

So your main gripe with my comment is I critised them for not making a great game?

Your right that a game doesn't need to be "great" to making a f*ck ton of money, But if they had have made a "great" game they wouldn't be where they are now, Because "great" games sell(very rare a 9 or 10/10 doesn't).

Your also right about movie tie-in games being risky. They are risky projects because ALOT of companies in the past have half arsed games in the past, So they have a reputation of being trash meaning not a lot of interest will be generated in them. It makes you think why companies/developers haven't realised this yet.

Just to be perfectly clear, I'm whole heartedly sorry for ANYONE who has lost their livihood, And the people who rely on them to support them, But as I stated my view was from a purely consumers point of view.

P.S. your not the only in the gaming industry.

Nope my gripe over your comment was the ignorance of it. Never said you criticised them for not making a great game.

Your second comment stating "if they had made a great game, they wouldn't be in this situation" yet again shows your ignorance, which I pointed out and you very much confirmed (contradicting yourself in the process) that a game doesn't have to be great to sell.

Also never stated that I was the only one in the gaming industry...quite pointless comment for you to make since I was stating that being in the industry, it just shows that ignorance has a heavy impact.

Personally I couldn't care less of your thoughts about me, if that was the case, I wouldn't be here

As to a "consumer's point of view" as a consumer myself...Propaganda Games haven't made any games that appeal to me and their closure wouldn't actually affect me but that doesn't give me the right to be a complete dick about it in an article's comment section.

Just curious but is that your reply to every article stating of a companies' closure?

Did you say "Pfft...Like anyone's losing sleep over this" when Pandemic closed? Or have you stated that no one would lose sleep over Bizarre Creations being closed, which so far their fate is being decided?

My whole point about your comment is the fact it is unneeded and unnecessary...then again it is your view...just one that isn't highly looked upon.

I contridacted myself how? Your logic is flawed, Seriously did you just stop reading a at "if they had made a great game, they wouldn't be in this situation"? Because I think you did. All I did was to try and dumb down my opinion, you managed to further that process, Somehow.

"Also never stated that I was the only one in the gaming industry...quite pointless comment for you to make since I was stating that being in the industry, it just shows that ignorance has a heavy impact."

You said as someone in the gaming industry, My comment bothered you. I'm in the gaming industry, Why did you make that comment? You clearly don't speak for the whole of the community. Neither do I, But I would never say "As someone in the gaming industry".

"Did you say "Pfft...Like anyone's losing sleep over this" when Pandemic closed? Or have you stated that no one would lose sleep over Bizarre Creations being closed, which so far their fate is being decided?"

Yes, To both companies. The only game that either company has released was the Saboteur. A game that was given very medicore reviews.

If none of this affects you, Then why argue the toss? Maybe it does make me look like a dick, But I couldn't care less. It was an implusive response that could have been expressed differently, But I stand by it's point.

BTW, I don't have any thoughts on you, Infact I nothing you. I've never seen you on this site before. So how could I have feelings on you.
