Mass Effect 2 players are likely used to having the Cerberus Network by now, since it's pretty much the first thing we see when entering the main menu. The list of DLC available via the Network is still there, and updates continue coming in for the time being.
We say "for the time being" because BioWare is temporarily shutting the Network down this month; the hiatus takes effect January 24, the anniversary of Mass Effect 2. When can we expect the Network to go back up? As of now, the exact dates remain a mystery, though BioWare hinted at more DLC prior to Mass Effect 3, which is scheduled for a Holiday 2011 release. The Cerberus Network will be reactivated for three weeks at some point in time this year. The daily news feed "will cease except for three weeks in 2011. A week of posts will precede a downloadable content release, and two more weeks will lead up to the release of Mass Effect 3."
Don't worry, PS3 owners, because you'll be getting the goods before that, on January 18. And it's looking damn good.
