Facing multiple charges, Game Boy Light and three games still missing

When we heard about that one guy who robbed a hospital's supply of game consoles intended for young cancer patients, we thought, "Man, who could sink lower than that?" A 37-year-old Pennsylvania man comes pretty close, after he was caught stealing a Game Boy from a deceased teen's casket.
Bradley McCombs died on Christmas in a fatal car accident at just 17, and he was to be buried with a few personal effects. Then relatives noticed several items missing from the boy's casket: a Game Boy. An uncle suspected Jody Lynn Bennett, the aforementioned middle-aged man, and approached Bennett before he could drive off.
Of course, Bennett denied having the Game Boy when accused of taking it, but the uncle saw the handheld in the thief's car, at which point Bennett handed it back. As relatives were returning the stolen item to the casket, they realized a Game Boy Light and three games were also gone.
The boy's father called Bennett afterwards about his son's belongings and was told not to call again by the suspected thief, who now faces "misdemeanor counts of desecration, theft or sale of venerated objects; abuse of a corpse; institutional vandalism; theft; receiving stolen property; disorderly conduct and harassment."
His criminal record indicates a history of alcohol and drug related offenses. Bennett's aunt, whose family is close friends with the McCombs, commented, "He's just messed up."

it just didn't pack out as he hoped it would be, because now he'll end up in someone else's collection of scum and social misfits.
IRL Piracy? He pillaged, but at least he didnt rape.
It's a pretty common occurrence within alcoholics and junkies...trust me, dealt with a lot of them (one of them being part of the family too) which they will lie and sell anything they can get their hands on just for enough money to get another beer or more drugs
He didn't steal the gameboy because "he wanted" one...he stole it in order to sell it so he could get money for his alcohol and drug addiction...which while people are acting surprised in these comments, it is in fact very common in this day and age. However this would be the first of hearing someone stealing from a funeral, but the fact that people will go to any lengths to fuel their addiction is nothing new...that's why people are shoved into rehab centres.
who plays with a gameboy light in this day and age.
Jesus dude the money's not worth it.
This is why I believe in Karma. :\
I have a pretty rare gameboy that still works.i dont use it but its a keepsake.stealing a gameboy for addictions is very common as 3 (as far as i know) of my family are recovering drug/alchole addicts.in fact,my gameboy colour was sold for you know whats.
