2010 was one of PC gaming's best years, and DRM was greatly improved overall. Pirates...ugh. I feel ill.

Yeah it was, but it seems at the cost of any and all convenience, I mean, being connected to servers JUST to play a game? I mean really now, that's just irritating, especially if the servers glitch out and you get booted.

somebody won't be very happy when they find this out
i used to download illigal games too but downloads like that allways comes with risks, errors, and god knows what else so i gave up on that for those reasons plus moral ones. the only games i ever download nowadays are from before 2000. titles like commander keen etc. childhood stuff you could say.

There's a lot of reasons why I hate piracy. One, if you like the *bleep*ing game, support the guys who put their time and effort into making it by paying for their product and not stealing it. Your money could very well go towards a sequel.

Two, DRM. It just takes way too much effort to to get a pirated game to work because of some outright obnoxious DRM. Not to mention, those of us who actually buy our games usually end up suffering more from ridiculous DRM, because a determined pirate will always get passed it.

Three, it's stealing, and that makes me feel like a scumbag either way.

The only things I ever pirate is shit like Photoshop, utilities with a completely unjustified price tag. If Photoshop were, say $10-$60 like it's actually worth I might buy it, but at upwards to $1000, no thanks Adobe.

no, its the worst game i've ever played, single player is ment to be good, though i did the first 2 levels and found it rediculasly easy and got bored and went online, which was just god aweful, either its got the laggiest servers ever made, or all the guns are bent as *bleep* to the point where it taker a full clip at point blank to just hit someone... and unfortunatly 'this game is the worst game ever made' isnt a valid reason for a refund

I'm for and against, just like chaotic said, i only pirate old games and new software, coz screw a grand for adobe photoshop, I dont like all the anti piracy measure coz people pirate new games, but since people still manage to pirate stuff it's just gonna get worse and worse...

I could see pirating a game that wasn't released in your region (or one that's old and incredibly hard to find),but if you want to play a fairly new game like BO,just go out and buy it!

Keyword is 'overall' -- that's the worst DRM yet, but thankfully it's only Ubisoft doing it. Got a story coming up that shows improvement there too, though...

Just use Paint.NET -- free and all you need unless you're getting paid for your work. I recommend donating, though. There's good freeware for everything.

Just saying that 4.25 mill downloads does not mean they would have bought the game otherwise. I know some people who just download and don't even spend 5 minutes on it.

Also part of me feels like Black Ops deserved it with it's high price point =/

Yeah that's no good. There've been sales, though. I bought StarCraft II when it was 'on sale' for $50.
