The NPD Group isn't the only research firm with their eyes on PC game sales, as Forecasting & Analyzing Digital Entertainment (FADE) has also taken to compiling sales reports concerning Valve's Steam digital distribution service. According to FADE, October proved to be a particularly lucrative month for Steam, thanks in no small part to the launch of Fallout: New Vegas for PC.
With unit sales of 308,000, Fallout: New Vegas has proven to be the fastest selling Steam title yet for 2010. Steam generated approximately $73 million USD in renevue last month, with New Vegas alone accounting for $15 million USD of the total.
