Fans have been waiting years and years for a Beyond Good & Evil sequel, but while we've nothing new to report in that department, you'll be pleased to know there's at least some action happening for the series: an HD upgrade.
Ubisoft will be releasing Beyond Good & Evil HD next year on Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network, complete with a 1080p upgrade, made over character models, polished textures, achievements and trophies, online leaderboards, and a remastered soundtrack. IGN got the chance to play it, and says it's "the same game [you] know and love."
Never tried? It's regarded as a cult classic by many, overlooked in light of poor promotion, among other things. Often compared to Zelda, you play one Jade, a mother and photographer recruited to expose a conspiracy and end a war.
Update: we've added some screenshots below, courtesy of VideoGamer. Not too shabby.
