I think the biggest positive is with an 8 hour limit, you can significantly reduce all the botting you see in MMOs, which, may I add that I despise botters?! :>

worst posible idea in MMO-History
xept for Wow-fanatics i must say.

anyways this system sucks cuz we still are like paying every month for it.
hell. 8hours a week per class.
personaly i play only 2 characters me and myself.
but we canot focus outself on becoming one of the best tankers or DD's
also this system will prevent players who join up in the game later to catch up with the top ranklist.

we pay to play not to have limits. remove the montly sub or remove the limit. u canot have both and hope for a successfull game.

Fatigue system=Fail. I would personally prefer to use 1 job only until hitting max level, guess that won't happen.

They could always have the well rested system that WoW has and increase the amount of experience needed per level if SE wanted a so called real experience. A daily cap might work, but that would be the upper most limit of my tolerence. Anyway, 8 hours a week is just plain silly, that's almost no time in terms of leveling in any mmo. If SE really wanted to prevent excess playing, then they shouldn't have made that boss that took over 20 hours to take down.

after seeing people lvling DNC & SCH to 75 in 4 days i can understand why SE started fatigue system. a person can die from lack of sleep in 50 hours.

Safety reasons aside, I'm sure it's in place largely to increase subscription times.

Been playing beta for a while. Fatigue system is absolutely horrible. The beta forums are full of negative feedback on it, but SE will not listen.

quote DeathMonkey
@omnious It's an mmorpg. It's still seems like a bad idea to me though. I like concentrating on one character, makes me feel more attached to it than if I had 4 classes or something.
You can still play with that one character here, except you're being forced to change jobs.

this is silly, i remember ffx and grinding for hours to train and beat sin and the great feeling of accomplishment coz i spent 20 hours of the day training and i finally beat it, with this t'd take me 3 days to do that!

That's kinda dumb imo. Perhaps a bonus to xp in the other classes as time goes on would be better? Some people like to or usually stick to one character/class (like me!).
