AND NEXT ZELDA NEEDS TO COME TO THE PS3 AND THE NEXT HALO GAME NEEDS TO BE ALSO ON THE DSi!

The idea that "whats good for the industry is inherently bad for games" is the most asinine remark ive ever heard. The single biggest complain to COME OUT OF THE INDUSTRY is that the overall quality of games has taken a gigantic nose dive over the last decade. I mean seriously, if this kind of think is "good for the industry and therefore good for gamers" maybe Microsoft should take over development of Mario games so that it can appear on Xbox to.

You people are retarded.

There's a lot of misinformation flowing here.

As Stardock will tell you, piracy on PC is a problem, but not worth spending time on and worrying about. The important thing is to focus on paying customers -- doing this, you can find great success. The Witcher sold 1.5 million copies for example, because it had great value and was a great PC game. And a pirated copy is never necessarily a lost sale.

And as stated -- the series has sold four million copies between three games. That's about 1.3 million per game, which would be considered a solid success on a console.

As it was noted, the gameplay would have to be significantly changed which would make it a lesser game which could very well translate into lesser sales on all platforms. This could be a situation where nobody wins, though I'm counting on GSC to pull it off somehow.

Developers save a lot of money in licensing fees in sticking to the PC as well -- this is the reason PC games are $10 cheaper.

Well this is a sad day for the gaming industry. Yet another good franchise dumbed down for the console community =/
No it is a good day for the gaming industry as the gaming industry thrives on money. Keeping games exclusive especially on a platform ripe with piracy is not good business sense. Sure you may not like it as most PC gamers don't like their games going multi platform, but it is going to keep the industry going as the developer will make a ton more money on consoles than they do on PC.
NEWSFLASH: Xbox and PS3 are ripe with piracy as well.
PS3 isn't actually, pirated games on the PS3 is still none existent. The Xbox 360 has some piracy but not half as much as PC... The fact is console gamers are the ones buying the games there may be a good 2 billion PC owners but Stalker 2 will still sell several million more copies on PS3 and 360 than it will on PC because most people will try to steal this game on the PC.

Name three examples of PC exclusive games franchise moving to consoles where the quality didn't drop in some way. As shocking as this may be, I care about the quality of the games and I'd rather they weren't dumbed down just to make more money.

I could see your point with certain genres and series, but have you ever actually played STALKER? It simply is not a game suited to consoles in the slightest and it's going to take a dip in quality just to accomodate for said platforms. If you're going to go multiplatform, do it with a game that makes sense on other systems, not one that's going to take a dive in quality because of it.

@redneonfish they often ruin the series by trying to make it "console-friendly" so it hurts to see another good series go that way.

It can only be a good thing, if more people get to enjoy a good series, what's wrong with that?

SoC wasn't that buggy to be honest, and I rarely encountered bugs in CoP and Clear Sky.
Perhaps he played it at launch and you played it with patches?
