Reception to BioShock's sequel has been mixed, with some fans feeling it was more of the same. As you may know, creator of the prequel and the System Shock series Ken Levine wasn't involved; instead the project was headed by 2K Marin and friends.
Now that the dust has settled, Levine says while BioShock 2 wasn't the project for them ("[we] felt like we said what we wanted to say about Rapture"), he's pleased with what Marin did. "I think it's a very talented team and I think it fulfilled the mission of completing the story of Rapture," he remarked.
So there you have it.
Meanwhile Levine is working on a fresh new setting with the newly announced BioShock Infinite.
