Alan Wake's 'The Writer' will weird you out

Have you caught up with Alan Wake's "The Signal" DLC?  Like any good book, you don't want to skip ahead as "The Writer" picks up where "Signal" left off.

Gameplay will be similar to what you see in "Signal" but the same can't be said for Alan's surroundings.  The environment be changed for a more fantasy setting that, as Alan Wake writer Mikko Rautalahti puts it, will have players "seeing a lot more weird stuff."  No hints are being dropped about the plot but if you suddenly find yourself without a head, you can thank the axe-throwing shadow people for that.

Expect "The Writer" to wrap up Alan's latest adventure later this Fall 2010 for 560 Microsoft Points.
