Aero the Acro-Bat swoops into this week's Nintendo Downloads
Fly using your face with Face Pilot
Happiness and sadness will be had today: while Aero the Acro-Bat breaks the VC drought from the last few weeks, today marks the final "Big Name Game" update for WarioWare: D.I.Y. Dry those tears with a WiiWare arcade shooter or, if you've got a DSi, collect and train monsters or guide a hang glider with your face.
Aero the Acro-Bat uses his many stunts at his disposal as the evil Edgar Ektor has taken over the World of Amusement. It won't be enough to just beat up baddies as you must use your skills to perform certain tasks and reveal the exit. Save the circus for 800 Wii Points.
For you explorers out there, Dive: The Medes Island Secret tasks you with seeking out sunken ships. Recover the rarest vessels and increase your reputation as a treasure hunter. Scour the depths of the world's oceans for 1,000 Wii Points.
In Heavy Fire: Special Operations, you can blast the enemy away on foot, driving around with a Humvee, or from the sky using a Blackhawk helicopter. Rise through the ranks to get more powerful weapons and submit high scores online. Do your country proud for 500 Wii Points.
Face Pilot: Fly With Your DSi Camera! uses one of the least-used parts of the body to control the game: the face. Lean your head to make it through courses to burst balloons, hit targets, or simply make it through as quick as you can. 500 DSi Points gives your neck a good excercise too.
Crystal Monsters lets you collect and train 160 monsters as you maintain their moves and elemental types to gain the upper hand. To really unlock a monster's potential, fuse them with another for a total power boost. The curiously familiar game can be had for 500 DSi Points.
Puffins: Lets Race! offers four modes across eight tracks filled with power-ups. You can also race with up to three friends over local wireless. Nab a copy for 500 DSi Points.
Petz Hamsterz Family lets you adopt and care for a hamster. Feed them, keep 'em tidy, and play with them to earn coins for purchasing new items. Adopt your virtual pet for 800 DSi Points.
Absolute BrickBuster gives brick breakers quite a bit to do: pick one of eight special paddles that will encounter different power-ups as you play. Free Play lets you break at your pace while Challenge Mode offers different tasks for your paddle and ball. 200 DSi Points keeps it easy on your wallet.
WarioWare: D.I.Y. owners, we're sorry to say but this is the end. Today marks the final "Big Name Game" offering that's brought to you by Treehouse. Remember to check and see if you missed out on other microgame offerings from past weeks.
