We've all seen art on walls and sidewalks outside but have you seen it moving? With some computer trickery, that's what one German art student did by making gameplay of Super Mario Brothers look like concrete is being used as a TV screen.
Andreas Heikaus (a.k.a. Surfap) made the above video using a technique called match moving to keep the gameplay in its place and flawlessly follow camera movements. The end result is one kick-ass special effect, a well-earned bachelor's degree from the Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts, and another rescued princess. It'd sure help to see what was coming up ahead if the technology was around.
