what the.... is up with the starter pokemon. The water pokemon looks like a hybird between mudkip and whooper. The only one who looks half decent is the grass one but it reminds me to much of treecko. Id have to say this is my second least favortie batch of starters next to emeralds starters.

That being sad I am exicted about this game I think the rest of the pokemon are actually pretty cool and well since the last game gold and silver was really good i am sure this one will be as well. The only one i havent liked so far is Diamond and Pearl, just wasnt that great if you ask me. I not sure if i like the new design being more 3D looking screen but ill get over it. Anyways so i just dislike the starters thats all i have against it.


Chiramii- I usually hate these type of pokemon, you know the ones they throw in there for all the little 8 year old girls to be happy with, but this one is pretty nice looking and it looks like an okay normal type.

Mun'na- I dont really like this pokemon but then again i dont hate it, its just not something i'd train. Dont get me wrong i like phsyic types but I am not really enthused about this one.

Gear- It almost seems like the baby version of magneton not bad to me.

Mamepato- THANK YOU! NOT MORE STARLY!!! sorry couldnt stand that bird. Its only second to pidgey to me. Pretty cool little bird. Although its move is useless since usually only low level pokemon lower your defence.

Hihidaruma- Not real impressed it reminds me of a bad RPG game character but I guess its not all that bad. Its not the worst fire type I have seen but its certainly not the best.

Shimama- This pokemon is awesome to me but i will admit i do side with lightening types a lot because there one of my three favorite types, but its pretty cool.

Meguroko- kind of expectted the only sand type that really impressed me was flygon

Legendaries- THANK YOU AGAIN! I have hated all the legendaries since lugia and the legendary birds. These are pretty cool if you ask me, I love them. I think i like the white one a bit better but i mean what can get much better then a fire/dragon or lightening/dragon heck ya love it.

-so not impressed with the starters in the least
-The other characters are okay nothing specail but nothing horrible
-The legendaries are great

I have to agree with Sophia. The starter set is a little disappointing visually, with the possible exception of the grass "snake" (as they described it), but everything else is getting me excited. I preordered yesterday and am looking foreward to next spring.

And I can't WAIT for a Chiramii. Finally, a chinchilla!

The grass one looks like a allegator version of treeko, also looks less stupid than the others.

Please why are you so exigent. They're all cool, you just need to play and/or watch the episodes to get familiar with them. I'm still playing Diamond, and it's my first try, so I'm not excited with such versions, at least not as long as I don't beat Diamond/Pearl.

The reason the original Pokemon games are so good is because of the nostalgia, and because of that alone, it will make people who remember the original games not like it already. Then they went and released these really crappy looking Pokemon and it's made me hate it more than I already did. I understand that the games need to change to be modern and for Nintendo / Gamefreak to sell copies, but I don't see why they couldn't have left the series alone after FR/LG.

So what is the new pidgen/caterpie variants?

Yes, I quite agree that they are running out of ideas for pokemon, fast. But, who knows, this may actually be a funner game than the ones we have already! Maybe. Even if we didn't think about it before, time was going to catch up with pokemon. Pokemon wasn't and isn't going to stay the same forever, it was going to change whether we liked it or not. The Pokemon Games will evolve just like the pokemon in them. I believe these games will have a lot more to them then the others, technology is growing, which means more storage on the games. Pokemon will always be changing. - - - - - I hope that in the near-future, there will be a pokemon game that connects all five regions. Kanto; Johto; Hoenn; Sinnoh; & now Isshu; Kind of like Hg/Ss. Starting with Kanto and going in the order that the regions were made, and choose from all the starter-pokemon. That is the game that I hope they will make. I hope that will be a possibility!!! Remember though, don't go: "Judging The Book By It's Cover". The game might not be what you are looking forward to, but it might be more.

"I totally agree with 'Charizard-FlameBlazer', Just because the games don't look like there good, doesn't mean there bad. They could be the most popular pokemon game! They all said that pokemon D/P would be a waste of time and effort, but look at how everyone reacted to the sequel of D/P: Platinum. Everyone was dying for it! It may as well be the same for Pokemon Black/White.

Ok well so far i dont find the pokemon too great but theyre not bad. surprisingly i actually like munna. i used to hate it but ive grown to think of it as pretty cool (i know weird). as for the starters im pretty impressed i think these are the best ive ever seen besides the Johto starters. I really cant pick out a fav of them theyre all so awesome! heres my opinion of the others. but this is just of what ive seen of them i hv not used them yet so idk

Chiramii- Not awesome but the best normal type tht u get early on tht ive seen(rattata, sentret, zigzagoon, bidoof were the others)

Munna- like i already said, this guy is pretty cool

Gear- Its all right. Not great, but fine. Unoriginal tho

Mamepato- All right this one i HATE! i cannot stand it it is so ugly and dumb looking.

Zekrom-Ok this is the coolest legendary ive evr seen i think dragon electric will make for a very interesting combination i cant wait to get pokemon white so i can get this guy
