Things are going to be different this year for rhythm gamers when Rock Band 3 comes out during the holidays. Harmonix wasn't going to be content with just slapping a few new modes on top of a different set of songs and a new piece of hardware so they set off to outdo themselves this time around.
The keyboard peripheral will have 25 keys to compliment piano and other elements during your rock performance while also doing double-duty as a nifty MIDI keyboard on the side. What's really going to blow everyone away is the new Pro Mode where players will actually learn real-world skills to play guitars, drums, and keyboards. It'll take a lot more effort to pull off but the end result will be quite satisfying.
What else is in store for Rock Band 3?
