Microsoft yesterday announced that Dungeon Siege has gone gold and is expected to hit North American store shelves by April 5.

"Everyone at GPG has worked hard to finish the game that we originally envisioned, and we are extremely happy with the way it all came together," developer Chris Taylor said. "We hope that everyone enjoys playing it as much as we did creating it." Taylor himself will be on hand at the Electronics Boutique store in the Redmond Town Center (which so happens to be in... Redmond, Washington) to witness the launch of the game first-hand, and speak to fans who have been waiting for the game for quite some time now.
