We knew it was coming, but just didn't know when. Now, we know.
Nintendo of America has finally announced the inevitable, with GameFreak's Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version seeing North American shores in the Spring of 2011. The company's European branch also announced that the two games will be releasing in the same timeframe. The Japanese will get their hands on Black and White later this year.
The international annoucement also got the jump on the Japanese publications and television shows, as Nintendo unveiled the two legendary Pokémon that will adorn Black and White's game covers. For Pokémon Black Version, you will see the white Pokémon Reshiram on your Nintendo DS game case, while owners of Pokémon White Version will see the black Pokémon Zekrom on the box. As for the game's trio of starters, they were revealed a couple weeks ago. These Pokémon will usher in the series' fifth generation of the pocket monsters, and a brand new storyline for Black and White.
We most likely can expect more information at this year's E3 Expo which starts on June 15th.
