Firefox 3.6.4 promises better Flash crash handling

The Mozilla Foundation is working away on the next version of Firefox. If Firefox is your browser of choice, you'll probably be happy to hear that this upcoming version -- version 3.6.4 -- promises to be more stable, through better handling of crashes related to flash. Previously in Firefox (and in most other browsers), it is not uncommon at all for one crash in one tab crashing your entire browser. Now, crashes related to Adobe Flash, Apple Quicktime, or Microsoft Silverlight will be better contained and handled -- the idea is that you'll just lose one tab instead of your whole browser.
As a regular Firefox user, I can say that that this new feature is entirely welcome and great to see. Only two weeks ago I stopped using Firefox -- switching to the light-weight Arora browser -- because of instability issues. Some Flash websites almost invariably would crash Firefox, and losing 35 or so open browser tabs is no small inconvenince. I started calling the browser 'Crashfox'.
The beta for 3.6.4 is available right now. You can get it over here, or in a little while, through your 'check for updates' option in your browser, under the help menu.
