    I don't think this was the work of Skidrow, Scene groups like that wouldn't try something like this because the Scene is all about being the first to crack software, or the first to release a movie and other such things, not for stunts like this.

    Ive been waiting for a crack for almost 2 weeks now. And before someone tells me to go buy the game, the damn game wouldnt even start without any cracks. i can make a ubi acc, then when i try to login it says some stuff about it not liking my internet connection.
    And there was a LOT of people taking part in the ddos on ubi servers, there were simple instruction for ddosing the server and urging people to do it to take revenge for the drm on lots of warez sites.

    But still, kudos to ubi for making a DRM this hard to crack. too bad they loose soo many paying customers as well.

    i don't know why people think this is false alert. of course they hacked it and will crack it eventually, its only a matter of time. ubisoft is heading in wrong direction, what, they really thought they will be first to make uncrackable game? please... instead of concentrating on their loyal customers and finding a way to award them, ubi is focusing on making a hard-to-crack game (unsuccessfully of course) and in the process they f**k the game up, so that even the legal buyers (and people who just wanted to try the game and then buy it) now cant play like they supposed to. if i was the head of ubi and someone told me to ruin the company as fast as i can, i think i would do something like this. really disappointed at ubi, but the game is pretty good, so wait for the crack and then enjoy it.

    Sorry to say that, but it is FAKE!
    Try to find the original (full screen) image.
    Proven by many site.

    1. Firefox adds a "/" after the url when the site loads
    2. In the url bar, you can see an arow (->)

    Arrow means jump to the entered site. When a site really loads, there is a star(bookmark) there.
    So: someone only creates a simple html page, save it on his computer, load it in firefox, and replaced the ulr (like: file:///C:/fakeubi.html) with http://www.ubi.com

    i don't think so buddy....i just typed www.ubi.com and this opened for me http://www.ubi.com/UK/default.aspx ....without "/" at the end of address line.(also site was 100% loaded).

    Not every address line ends with "/" in firefox.Check for some other sites/links and see for yourself.

    Blade121, that is because it is a file on the website. If you are looking at a folder, I.E. http://www.ubi.com/ , that means it's pointing to the page http://www.ubi.com/index.html or something of that sort. The slash means that you're still in a folder and it's going to the default file, otherwise you'll see some sort of extension in most cases (I.E. .aspx or .php or .html).

    If they were actually on the Ubi Website it would say which region they are from.
    So its either a fake or they backspaced that part more then likely fake though imo people just want to believe a crack is on the way so their cheap asses don't have to pay for it, if the whole internet connection annoys you so much get it on an Xbox or PS3 because at the end of the day so much of PC games are pirated and eventually they will create something similar to DRM that will be implemented to all PC games or just drop the PC for games which you don't pay to play every month such as WoW.
    And in the end gaming companies don't owe you anything, buy their game's if you want, if you don't like how they made it DON'T BUY IT and stop bitching.

    Of course it is fake. Folks were making jokes on forum, and one of them created that image. We are laughing our a$$ess off that anyone belived in it and that the image is now worldwide known. I myself can't belive how such a joke could get to popular sites as a real thing. I thought people check the data they publish, but I belive it is hard to get a confirmation of a hacked site. Nevertheless, it is FAKE.

    And you know what's most funny? That's just a test if games are selling. If AC2 and Splinter Cell will sell on PCs like other big games, then it will mean people don't care about DRM. And then DRM can move to consoles, where you'll have to additionally make your copy connected with your login, so you won't be able to re-sell your game.

    too bad this whole "crack will be released soon" thing turned out to be fake i was so hyped about the game and Ubi just spited in my face. I hope they see how much they screw up and remove it
