The up and down is to simulate increase and decrease of G forces. It looks weird, but it feels authentic. You can see in the guys eyes that he really does feel like he's driving.

Hrmm you might be correct. I'm not sure. It seems like an awful lot of up and down. It seems odd to be viewing a road at that angle. YA maybe it works though.

Your perspective doesn't change because the screen is always moving with you.

Ya I see what you mean, but I'm not convinced. Don't you think you'd feel 'a bit odd' if you were facing like a 45 degree angle, in a driving sim? Seems like it might break the immersion.

I could believe that you would not notice, because you are so focused just on the screen, but I'm not sure.

Maybe the company will have to send one out to Neo HQ so we can see for ourselves hehe .

There's always the option of building one yourself. There is a tutorial someone made just like this, but it's designed more for flight simulators, but can also be used for racing games. It uses a pulley system to rotate X and Y instead of hydrolics.

Or you could just take a video game steering wheel for you computer console and somehow put it on you car, then it will feel like the real thing.

Yes. Nothing pumps my blood faster than going 40mph, reading road signs and stopping for pedestrians.

For those of you who don't know much about racing, the amount of g forces your body experiences from driving and cornering at such high speeds is very taxing on the human body. Not one of you or most people could not do the 12 hour Sebring race at all without any form of conditioning. You would be very sore and exhausted after 2 hours.

That system probably is as real as it can get without driving the real thing.

28,000 dollars. Wow...no, i gotta admit, it looks pretty good and at frst the up and sideways movements looked odd. But i (oddly enough) did the motions myself and i can see what they are trying to get at. I wouldn't buy it myself because, i can see t having a, "do not use within 2 hours of eating" label and plus 28k is a lil more than most peoples budget for gaming lol. Putting this in an arcade would be amazing tho.
