GameStop distributing legendary Jirachi Pokemon starting Feb. 27

Having just finished distributing shiny Pichus to Pokémon fans across the U.S., GameStop is now set to give away the legendary Jirachi starting February 27.  Better get those Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum carts ready to receive another worthy addition to your team.

The GameStop Jirachi starts at a lowly Level 5 with a Liechi Berry in its possession and knows Wish, Confusion, Rest, and the unique Draco Meteor move that's exclusive only to Dragon-type Pokémon.  When this Jirachi is transferred to Pokémon Heart Gold or Soul Silver, it unlocks the Night Sky's Edge route in the PokéWalker pedometer where some Pokémon such as Clefairy, Jigglypuff, and Onix lurk about.  You might even have a chance to find a few items that sell for a lot of money or even make use of TM Psychic.

Jirachi is an exceptionally rare Pokémon to acquire outside of Japan as the only method to get ahold of one (outside of trading, of course) is to own a disc that was offered with pre-orders of Pokémon Colosseum back in 2004.  Pokémon fans have until March 13 to get their Jirachi but we'll understand if you want to get an extra cart to dump out a couple for yourself.  And don't forget Heart Gold and Soul Silver will be released the day after distribution ends.
