Just a few months to go, latest vid is horrific
Not much longer: it's just been announced as of May 18, North American gamers with an Xbox 360 will be able to get their hands on Alan Wake. If you live in Europe or Japan, the launch dates there aren't set in stone but "point to" May 21 and 27, respectively. Remedy reminds any other platforms are "unfortunately" not set for Wake, so disregard any ads as such.
After numerous delays and a very long development time, fans are no doubt pleased to finally have a date pinned down.
Superfans, meanwhile, will be interested in the Limited Collector's Edition, which comes in "hardbound quality linen" and is designed to resemble a hardcover book. Here's what you get:
No pricing is currently announced. Note pre-ordering will yield yet more content: the Bright Falls Bonus Pack, which contains the Avatar gear, LIVE theme, and a "making of" video.
With the announcement comes a new trailer from the X10 press event. This one is goes a more horrific The Shining / Silent Hill 2-ish route, but that's not a bad thing in our books.
