One gripe most critics have had with Tekken 6 is the scenario campaign mode. Instead of sticking to the classic ladder-style of story modes, Namco turned the game on its head, creating a somewhat unsatisfactory top-down brawler. With dumb AI present in both enemies and your partner, it's a struggle to enjoy, but the developers have come forward, hoping to the remedy the Achilles' heel of the latest instalment.
A patch will be available soon, allowing two players to tackle the scenario campaign via online play. Not only will you be able to trade in your AI partner for an independent sidekick, but voice chat will also be available. Lastly, Mokujin’s fighting style will change with every round. As those who have already played Tekken 6 will know, this update is exactly what the game needs to crawl out of critic's bad books.
The update will be available this Monday, January 18, for both Xbox 360 and PS3. A simultaneous worldwide release is expected.
