With only a matter of days before The 40th Day releases, EA Montreal have come forward with another trailer. Unlike some of the humorous, yet well-done videos, this trailer unveils the sequel's online component, with a huge emphasis on playing with a partner. Many elements will be carried over from the single player experience including the "massive" weapon customisation and co-op actions.
From the video, we can tell conventional game types such as deathmatches and objective-based modes will come into play, with a twist however. From the way the video is presented, it appears teams will consist of only two players though there will be multiple teams in each game. Aside from these competitive modes, a four player survival game-type dubbed "Extraction" will also be available, though the actual structure of this mode isn't detailed thoroughly.
Army of Two: The 40th Day will be launching on January 8 in America and in the EU, January 12.
