First announced back in November, the upcoming Dragon Age: Origins DLC has finally been dated -- for Xbox 360 and PC, anyway. If you own the game for either platform, then January 5 will be your new Christmas.
The "Return to Ostagar" DLC, which has the Warden traveling back to where it all started, will be released to North America and Europe on the first Tuesday of January, or January 5. PlayStation 3 gamers will need to wait, though just a little bit, as a PS3 release date has been confirmed for late January.
With the DLC, players will head back to the battlefield in Ostagar in search of King Cailan's loot, since taking goods off corpses obviously isn't an issue in Dragon Age. Ferelden's former king isn't just the bubbly Warden-loving simpleton we mistook him for, however, and the additional content reveals some of his secrets.
“We are thrilled at the way the fans have embraced Dragon Age: Origins and we’re excited to welcome them back into the game,” said Aaryn Flynn, general manager and VP at BioWare Edmonton. “'Return to Ostagar' represents BioWare’s commitment to providing a steady stream of compelling post release content as we continue to expand the Dragon Age universe.”
