Aside from inducing nerd-rage and fanboy-frenzy, the annual VGAs on Spike do bring us some debut trailers never before seen.
This year, we get an ominous teaser for Batman: Arkham Asylum sequel, conveniently dubbed "Arkham Asylum 2" until a real title pops up. It looks like the effects of Titan have really taken their toll on the Joker, who now sits in a dingy carnival-esque warehouse with nurse-Harley while thugs run amuck in the streets. Either Arkham has expanded, or we're going to be entering Gotham.
“Getting the opportunity to create Batman: Arkham Asylum and seeing its success has been a dream come true for the team,” said game director Sefton Hill. “We are honoured to create the next chapter in this compelling story and promise to deliver another game worthy of the Dark Knight.”
Seeing what Rocksteady Studios could do with Arkham, we can only assume their reimagining of Gotham City would be nothing short of spectacular. Keep your fingers crossed and check out the teaser below.
