Where can you find ninjas, giant penguins, and murderous Canadian death-machines all in one place? Matt Hazard: Blood Bath and Beyond, of course.
Speaking of Canadian murder-bots, the latest asset batch from BB&B features a boss from the game named Joilette Cinq, or "J5." She happens to be Canadian, created by the Canadian Office of War Avoidance (Robotics Division), where scientists love blowing things up for no good reason.
During a demonstration in Ontario, in which J5 was supposed to show her non-lethal capabilities, a lighting bolt struck her from the sky, activating a super secret annihilation mode. The heroic Canadian Dedicated Ultramodern Mountie Brigade eventually subdued J5 and sealed her within a secure maple syrup processing plant within their HQ. This explains the robot's dislike of maple syrup. She does, however, enjoy blowing crap up, much like her successors.
D3Publisher also released some "useless tidbits" about ol' Joilette Cinq:
- She was the first boss created for Matt Hazard: Blood Bath and Beyond.
- She is The Game Designers Favorite Boss.
- She is worth $11,519,293.84 Canadian Dollars. ($75.50 US)
So useful! Anyway, you can meet the relentless J5 on January 6, when Matt Hazard: BB&B is released on Xbox LIVE and PSN.
