Seems someone over at Universal Space thought Cooking Mama was ready for the big time. Also known as UNIS, the company is best known for their "amusement equipment," and it looks like Mama will soon be getting said equipment of her own.
A Cooking Mama arcade unit has been spotted this week at the IAAPA 2009 amusement industry tradeshow in Vegas, with a video demonstrating from UNIS how it all looks in-game and from afar.
The food looks a bit more realistic than you may remember from the DS and Wii games, and this console is considerably less portable. With a pink and yellow motif, the cabinet also sports a 46" monitor, and the entire setup is currently set at $4,600 USD -- definitely one of Mama's pricier products.
The demo video shows a player going through the dish selection screen, then preparing the dish under Mama's watchful eye. One thing that hasn't changed is Mama's charming and heavily accented voice.
