A job listing from Microsoft Game Studios has been turning heads lately. Looks like they're seeking a lead producer to work the highly successful Gears of War and budding Shadow Complex franchises.
The job opening is for an experienced individual who will be working with Epic Games to "drive the success of Gears of War" and "lead the publishing side of games made by Epic," which includes both Gears and Shadow Complex. The applicant must also have a "deep experience shipping games," specifically "AAA current generation games" throughout the production cycle.
It's just one of 29 new game-related "help wanted" adverts Microsoft has put up in the last two weeks, on top of the existing 25 vacancies thave we've seen since October. Here's hoping the next Gears of War isn't being reserved to a next-gen console. As for Shadow Complex, the efforts for recruitment bode well for Epic and Chair Entertainment's highly successful platformer. We could use more games like that on the market.
