Interview hints at additional content before next game
So Activision isn't exactly hurting for money, and the $310 million they just made off Modern Warfare 2 first-day sales in North America and the UK have padded their accounts quite nicely. What's next for MW2, you ask?
Aside from the inevitable Modern Warfare 3, Infinity Ward creative strategist Robert Bowling has hinted at DLC for MW2. There are obviously no specific details, and for now, we have only Bowling's casual word of what's to come:
"We don't know what our next game is. I mean, once we finish this, and we're gonna do a lot of DLC support for it, and then we're going to sit down and talk about, 'Okay what's our next project gonna be.' It doesn't mean this is the end, but right now you know we're continuing the story, and we're concluding some story lines... but anything's possible.
"I mean always like to leave some openings and some air to breathe..."
Then again, this shouldn't be too surprising with the introduction of SpecOps. New challenges might be in order! Too bad it probably won't be free.
