Estopolis to return, but when and where?
Famitsu reveals that Taito is working on a new Estopolis game, to be published by Square Enix. Longtime JRPG fanatics may recognize Estopolis as the original Japanese name for what's better known abroad as Lufia, the JRPG series featuring puzzle solving and monster raising elements.
The article confirms that the original development team behind the first Estopolis game for the SNES (released in North America as Lufia & the Fortress of Doom) will be manning the fortress this around. While the news is definitely encouraging for fans of the original SNES games, nothing has been set in stone concerning gameplay. Indeed, not a whole lot of additional details are known at time of writing, including word of possible target platforms and release timeframe, but Famitsu promises more coverage in next week's issue of their official print magazine.
Nearly all the titles thus far in the Lufia series have been localized in English. Lufia II still holds a special place in the cold, bitter heart of yours truly, and the ending certainly wasn't least of the reasons!

I wouldn't mind a real CONSOLE JRPG like Lufia. Though I loved Lufia on the GBA, despite it's sub-par graphics.
