So if you haven't already heard, Capcom is planning to put out new Resident Evil 5 content, which Japan will be getting as an entire re-release, with a box and the full RE5 game. The entire package was dubbed Resident Evil 5: The Alternative Edition.
As for the West, Capcom seemed to notice gamers getting huffy over the multiplayer DLC, with many speculating the content was already on-disc due to its tiny download size. As such, the Japanese gaming company decided to take a poll before releasing the Alternative Edition to North America and Europe, in order to determine whether Western gamers wanted the same deal as Japan or as DLC instead of a hard disc.
The masses have spoken, and the West has opted for DLC. Keep an eye on Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network this spring for said new content.
