Guns, cars, crime, and perhaps one of the more ambitious DS games out there

Now when video game hobbyists see the initials "DS," their eyes tend to glaze over.  Looks like Ubisoft is trying to change that.

The French developer and publisher is one of the more ambitious companies in the industry, though their experimentations are often hit or miss -- case in point, Red Steel versus Assassin's Creed.  Their latest endeavor brings Nintendo's DS into the picture.

Presenting C.O.P. The Recruit, just one of many titles to be released today and subsequently overshadowed by BioWare's Dragon Age: Origins (or Activision's Band Hero, if you prefer).  Well, if you have a DS, C.O.P. does sport numerous recommendations from the media, and our own experiences are being documented in an upcoming review.

Sure, it's not going to replace your high-power PC or HD console, but sometimes good things come in small packages.  Check out the launch video and screenshots to get a better idea.
